Mike Cottrell

President

Mike has been a long standing RPA member, now serving a fifth term on the board.  He is currently a Sr. Vice-President of Commercial Lending with The Equitable Bank. Mike has been in the middle market banking space for over 25 years with a history of funding millions in Multi-Family real estate transactions.

His focus has been in the Multi-Family & Self-Storage, funding loans from $500K-$20.0 million all across Wisconsin.  Mike has extensive experience with SBA lending (7a & 504), business start-ups, manufactures, developers, and all areas of business banking.

He has previous experience as a District Manager in multi-store retail sporting goods and as a Regional VP in banking. His past work experiences have given him extensive leadership and personnel development skills, with an understanding of managing the bottom line.

Finally, Mike has been married to his wife Kelly for 34 years and they have two sons and a couple grandchildren. He is a former college athlete and has a long history of coaching youth and high school athletes. No longer coaching, he spent his last 3 seasons (2013-2015) as an Assistant Varsity coach of the Arrowhead HS Baseball team. He now spends his time enjoying family, friends, golf and the Woods & Waters of WI, regularly competing in Bass Tournament’s on a regular basis.
